NUBA KINDERGADEN AND DAYCARE / BOGOTA / 2021 - 2022
Nuba is a preschool and daycare designed to meet the needs of young families with a contemporary lifestyle. The design focuses on infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, with the architectural language shaped by ergonomics, safety, quality of light, and the physical experience of space. The project reimagines traditional concepts of spaces for young children, filling the gap by customizing elements to create a unique and cohesive atmosphere.
The program includes specialized rooms for various activities: role-playing, crafting, sleeping, crawling for toddlers, and general play. There is also a dedicated space for parents and caregivers to work or relax while their children engage in different activities.
The design features soft, rounded surfaces that define dynamic spaces, harmonizing with the existing structure of the house. Warm, gentle lighting creates a calming environment, while the extensive use of wood throughout the project adds to the overall sense of comfort and warmth.
